I’m the musician behind Surrender Theory. I started this out of a lifelong love of great music and a need to make sense of my own story, in the hope it might help someone with a similar one. I’m grateful every day that God carried me through addiction and the hurt and regret that comes with it. Even so, I'm still a bit of a misfit, and I’ve never quite related to standard faith-based music or culture. So I make the kind of music I always wanted to hear. It’s evocative, hard hitting, a little strange, and made for people who’d normally never give faith-based music a chance. I call it Christian psych rock. If any of this sounds like you, you’re not alone, and you’re in the right place.
